### What are the current functions of OpenAI in AppFlowy?

* **OpenAI Writer**: Ask AI to write anything for you. Let AI draft it for you whenever you're starting something new.
* **Summarize**: Auto-generate a nice summary for an article, your proposal, or anything else.
* **Fix spelling**: With one click away, catch and fix misspelled words instantly.
* **Improve Writing**: There is no need to switch between different tools; simply highlight the text and ask AI to quickly transform it into something better and more suitable for the task.
* **Make longer:** AI will automatically rewrite its response with more copy

### How to get started?

1. You’ll need an [OpenAI](https://openai.com/) account and an API key. You can sign up [here](https://platform.openai.com/signup). It offers a FREE trial.
2. After creating an account, you can create a secret API key [here](https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys).

3. Copy the secret key --> Go to Settings --> Users --> OpenAI Key --> Enter your API key

4. Restart AppFlowy
5. Type the slash `/open` command to use `OpenAI Writer`

6. Highlight text to trigger the toolbar menu and then click on the 💡 icon to use `Summarize`, `Fix spelling`, and `Improve Writing`.

AppFlowy, the application, sends the encrypted HTTPS requests with data that the user explicitly provided for making OpenAI API calls listed below to only one domain, openai.com.
