🌈AppFlowy AI On-device
AppFlowy uses the AppFlowy AI application to support offline AI features. After downloading AppFlowy AI, follow the on-screen instructions to install AppFlowy AI.
Currently, AppFlowy AI offline support is available only on macOS. Support for Windows and Linux is still in progress.
Install
Step 1: Download AppFlowy AI
Start downloading AppFlowy AI by clicking 'Download.' AppFlowy AI integrates with the AppFlowy application to provide the following features:
Chat with PDF, Markdown, and TXT files.
Chat with AppFlowy documents using the '@' keyword to trigger the mention menu.
Enhance writing, fix spelling and grammar, summarize text, and more.
macOS
Open the AppFlowy AI application.
Click on the "Install" button.
Provide administrator access when prompted.
Click "Done" to complete the installation.
Step 2: Download Model
If the AI Settings page does not reload automatically, exit the page and reopen it. Once on the AI Settings page, select the model you want to use, and then click the Download button.
After clicking the 'Download' button, it may take about 10 minutes to download the LLM models. Once the download is complete, the model will load automatically. If everything works correctly, you will see the following page
Afterwards, all AI features, including improve writing, AI writer, and chat, will use the local AI model.
